There he is, our little Pinewood Derby Champ!! He won 2nd place. The best part of it all was that he was such a good sport. Carter said the closing prayer and said, "Please bless everyone who didn't win that they won't feel sad." Isn't that sweet? He meant it too. What a guy! So proud of my boy!
Congratulations to the PD Champ! James is stoked to do the PD in February. Ahhh, Cub Scouts. It's so much a parent organization too. I'm trying to get use to it but I'm overwhelmed by all the lingo, advancements, badges--you name it. I keep trying to pass it off to Doug and he keeps handing it back to me. We cannot miss on the Derby though. James would be heartbroken if he had to show up with no wheels on his car, which might just be the case if we don't get our scouting act together. Congratulations, Mom and Dad for getting the car to the race at all!
